If you have a car wreck and its your fault and the other person(s) is/are hospitalized for an extended period of time they will want to collect as much as possible for their hospital bills, pain and suffering etc. Therefore, you should carry the liability that corresponds to your assets. They can’t take your home, two cars or 401(k), but they will find out what your other assets are and probably sue you for as much as they can get. Make sure you have enough liability insurance so that your insurance company pays all claims and you aren’t out several thousands of dollars. Increasing your auto liability is very inexpensive.
Your insurance agent should call you periodically like every couple of years to review your insurance coverages. This is not a meeting to sell additional insurance, but to review the coverages you have with that agency. In my spare time I am a Scoutmaster of a Boy Scout troop in East Austin. My own boys are grown (ages 37 and 40), but I still love being a Scoutmaster to boys from single parent homes that are economically challanged. These boys started in our troop when they were eleven years old and they are now eighteen and seniors in high school. They have been on many campouts and some have been counselors at Lost Pines summer camp. Two were featured speakers at the Distinguished Citizens Award Dinner. They are all fine young men and as a matter of fact one just earned his Eagle Scout rank and two more are working on theirs. I am confident some of the troop will either go on to college or at least some post high school education like trade school at ACC. The Boy Scouts of American has made a significant difference in the lives of these boys.
Other than going to an allergy doctor, which is not a bad idea, I have a couple of suggestions to fight Cedar allergy in Austin, Central Texas. One is to purchase a Netti Pot. You can get them at Whole Foods, or any pharmacy. They are typically about $14 and you can use it every day for the rest of your life. The second suggestion is to purchase children’s benedrill tablets that disolve in your mouth. They don’t make you sleepy and the price is right.
